The construction industry in Latvia is often faced with solving the
difficulties of the construction process, already in the active stages of the
construction process in terms of time and costs.
This indicates mistakes made in the early stages of construction. With the
introduction of the institute of engineering consultants in the construction
sector, it will be possible to more precisely define and separate the duties and
responsibilities of the construction initiator from other participants in the
construction process, reducing errors and problems from the very beginning. In
addition to the Institute of Engineering Consultants, useful tools are the EN 16310
standard as well as FIDIC standard contracts.
