In a nuclear fusion reactor, dual coolant lead-lithium (DCLL) blanket liquid metal flows in the presence of a strong magnetic field. In this study, an experiment of PbLi flow in fusion relevant temperature of 700°C is presented with the presence of specially manufactured flow channel inserts (FCI). These inserts are made in CEIT and CIEMAT in Spain by a method of chemical vapor deposition (CVD) gel casting. The liquid metal experiment is conducted using the 5T superconducting magnet at the Institute of Physics of the University of Latvia (IPUL). The results show that it is possible to obtain a reasonable pressure drop reduction.
