Cordierite was obtained from the mixture of aluminum hydroxude, sand, different magnesium compounds by a solid-state reaction method. The effect of dolomite doping on phase-transformation kinetics and microstructure has been investigated during thermal treatment by keeping a stoichiomertic cordierite compound.
