The objective of the Doctoral Thesis is to validate the stability of the Latvian GNSS continuously operating reference stations in extreme situations of solar activity. This study assesses the impact of geomagnetic storms on positioning accuracy and coordinates stability over an 11-year period covering the whole 24th solar activity cycle. The statistical analysis is performed on the results of kinematic solutions in relation to ionospheric total electron content (TEC) and rate of change of TEC index (ROTI) levels in the midlatitude region, Latvia.
