Automated guided vehicles (AGV) have become integral parts of almost all modern warehouses. Dynamic resonant-inductive wireless power transfer (WPT) can reduce size of AGV batteries and even eliminate them. Dynamic WPT to single electrical vehicle (e.g. AGV) is well researched in many papers. However, papers about dynamic WPT to multiple wireless energy receivers (e.g. AGV) are almost absent. Since in real warehouses multiple AGV can move along the same track or different tracks, a dynamic resonant-inductive WPT system with reduced number of components for multiple AGV was designed and a scaled-down prototype of the system was built and tested. It is shown in the paper that it is possible to transfer electric energy to multiple AGV when in motion simultaneously by using single inverter and small number of compensation capacitors.
