The rise in renewable energy sources, characterised by their volatility, complicates the task of electricity transmission system operators to maintain the power system balance. It results in increasing demand for advanced information systems to assist grid operators in managing the electricity system. While significant research in energy informatics has addressed challenges related to smart grid management, the specific needs of transmission system operators (hereinafter -TSOs) remain underexplored, especially in terms of how these IS shall be introduced. Considering that, the goal of this research is to define a delivery approach for Electricity Balancing Information Systems through convergence by integrating implemented project insights and existing delivery approaches, tailored to the unique requirements of TSOs.
