In recent years, one of the directions of research into shunting work at marshalling stations has been the rational use of energy resources, which allows to achieve the rational level of technological indicators of station operation in resource-saving conditions. This is achieved with less energy consumption (fuel, electricity) in the shortest possible time. The purpose of the article is to consider solving the problem of determining the optimal values of technological indicators that determine the efficiency of using rolling stock, as well as to assess resource and energy efficiency for the technological process being performed when conducting shunting work. To assess the resource and energy efficiency of the technological process, the optimality criterion is the indicator of energy consumption during making shunting work. The solution to the problem in this article is based on an analysis of literary sources, methods of the theory of traction calculations, as well as optimization methods based on dynamic programming (Bellman's optimality principle). The resulting calculations of resource- and energy-efficient indicators of shunting work were carried out using the example of the operation of the arrival park of the Shkirotava marshalling station. At the same time, as constraints, the model takes into account the priority and hostility of station routes for the movement of rolling stock, such as the arrival and departure of freight trains, the uncoupling of a train locomotive from the train, the arrival of a shunting locomotive and the pushing to hump of a shunting composition. The method has been developed for optimizing energy-efficient technology for performing shunting work based on the criterion of minimizing fuel consumption at the marshalling station. The assessment of fuel consumption was carried out at optimal values of technological parameters, which depend on factors such as the speed of maneuvers, the track profile and the time of movement of the rolling stock. As a result of the study, the method for optimizing the performance of shunting work was proposed, which will allow estimating the required number of shunting locomotives, their load over time and, in the future, can be used to create a decision support system for station operational workers. This software will increase the productivity of shunting vehicles, reduce the number of errors in the work of personnel and improve the quality of decision-making on the order and deadlines of shunting operations at the marshalling station.
