Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) are promising flexible harvesters developed in the last decade for powering the autonomous microdevices for a range of applications on the Internet of Things ecosystem. There are many different TENG devices designed from different polymer materials to harvest mechanical energy from various sources. Biopolymers, along with the other polymer types, can be successfully used for TENG fabrication.
