The article evaluates the biografical novels of the creative tandem of Valdis Rūmnieks and Andrejs Migla about the poet Aleksandrs Čaks ("Čaks", 2010) and the sculptor Kārlis Zāle ("Trīs zvaigznes"/"ThreeStars", 2013).
