The scientific journal of Liepāja University, “Current Issues in Research of Literature and Culture”, reaches its readers every year in March with strict regularity and reliability. This time, it’s the 29th volume. The publication of the next, anniversary volume will face changes, challenges, and search for new ways because this year, the scientific and research capacities of Liepāja University and Riga Technical University are being combined, which also means the reorganisation of the publishing system and continued editions. The editorial board trusts and hopes that all changes that will affect literature and culture research articles will allow both to ensure traditionality and expand the field of research and will open opportunities for innovative solutions, promoting coverage, openness and accessibility. The 2024 edition contains 23 original and unique articles. In several of them, the continuation of the topic chosen by certain researchers can be seen. Sometimes, the methodological solution of the topic is highlighted from new perspectives, successive reflection on the results of research projects is provided, and a brand new researcher’s name appears. The nature of the continued publication is fully justified because the articles refer to the previous publications in our journal and outline the directions for potential research. Each article is not only the result of the particular author’s work but also represents scientific research institutions: the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore, Kurzeme Institute of Humanities at Liepāja University, the National Library of Latvia, the Latvian Academy of Culture, the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Theology of the University of Latvia, as well as Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art and Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the University of Latvia. The authors of the articles are researchers, lecturers, doctoral students, as well as several critics, editors, and the director of a museum.
