This paper examines the working principles of existing commercial portable heart rate measurement solutions and recreates them, aiming to lay the theoretical and practical foundations for more accurate heart rate measurement data, emphasizing creating the outline of achieving medical grade accuracy for early detection of cardiovascular illnesses and enhanced sports medicine applications.
