In Vidzeme, a region of Latvia bordering Estonia, priority economic sectors include technology- and export-intensive, sustainable renewable energy production. There are already efforts to use solar, wind and hydropower, but there is also potential for “green” hydrogen solutions. Therefore, the region is open to cooperation in the development of various energy sectors, which is facilitated by both available natural resources and a favorable location, as well as the common policy of Latvia and the European Union (EU), aimed at a green course.
