The PhD Thesis explores software-defined networking, the Internet of Things, and state-of-the-art intent-based networking. The Thesis is a collection of results of eight studies, which not only contribute to the provision of seven new adaptive solutions for telecommunication technologies but also provide an insight into novel technologies in the industry itself. The problems discussed include network path generation, fragmentation mitigation in IoT networks, reducing the use of specific-purpose built network equipment, and automating human-managed network configuration.
