This article examines the current situation with the level of introduction of renewable energy sources (RES) into the electric power industry of Latvia, and the Baltic States as a whole, currently and in the future until 2030. Scenarios of possible modes of the unified Baltic energy system are modeled depending on the volume of electricity produced from RES (wind and solar). It is analyzed the modes of interstate electrical connections of Baltic States in their parallel operation with electric networks of Central Europe in conditions of basic power deficit.
