The paper presents a study of uncoupled IBCs and inversely coupled IBCs (2, 4, and 6-phase, connected in pairs) with respect to the reduction of ripple current drawn by the FC stack. In inverse coupled interleaved boost converters, Fuel cells (FC) current ripple can be kept within an acceptable range if the coupling coefficient and duty cycle are properly optimized. The analytical results were verified through circuit simulations using PSpice for TI simulator.
