District heating companies in Latvia have started, or even finished their reconstruction of district heating systems. The liquidation of small unefficient is going on, unfortunately, often together with the decentralisation of heating, what can cause problems in payback of the investments invested in district heating systems reconstruction. As an example there is made an analysis of dynamics of district heating loads in Riga. The article overviews heat energy demand satisfaction ways in Riga. There were made analysis about possibilities and problems in increasing of district heat consumption. Is made conclusions about possible perspective services and products.
