This article deals with relevance of performance measurement of an enterprise. It is highlighted SME problem in this context. Selection of indicators is considered from point of view of Performance Measurement concept. The authors examine indicators measured a polygraph enterprise performance. It is considered that performance measurement is possible to tailor to the needs of the Latvian entrepreneurial environment; however potentialities of enterprises have to be taken into account. The most difficulties could be in measurement of business cycle, client and personnel return and in choice of performance targets. Implementation of performance indicators requires knowledge improvement on the level of top manager and executer.
