Axial inductor generator (AIG) is considered together with tooth windings in the present work. This generator is being manufactured by plant RER for power supply of carriages. In order to define the optimal geometry of tooth zone and magnetic circuit an estimation of electromagnetic field in the generator was performed together with the application of a complex of programs “QuickField”. The analysis of the results was performed with the help of an objective function which characterizes the relation of nominal power to the generator’s mass. The recommendations concerning the choice of rational geometry of the generator realization of which will allow to improve mass-dimensions indices are given on the basis of the analysis of magnetic fields.
