Teaching Supply Chain Management with SimFlex

This paper highlights the main features of SimFlex, a supply chain simulation and optimisation tool owned by Flextronics, the biggest electronics manufacturer services provider. Flextronics uses SimFlex internally to address supply chain issues with its own customers. A case study “Supply Chain Network Analysis: Comparison of Alternative Scenarios” created by RTU Department of Modelling and Simulation is presented as an example of using SimFlex to teach logistics
