Application of the Wavelet Analysis to Investigation of the World's Rivers

For forecasting annual waterflow of the world’s rivers methods of Fourier spectral analysis and the wavelet analysis uniting in advantages of the continuous and fast discrete wavelet transforms should be used. In paper facilities of the wavelet analysis are investigated with a view of perfection of methods of forecasting of waterflow. The special place is given to the comparative analysis of components of solar activity and Daugava’s waterflow.
