The use of free turbulent fluid jets is topical in a number of particular industries – firefighting, mining industry (hydro excavators), agrotechnics (sprinkler systems), fountain building etc. When developing the equipment for creation of a free fluid jet structure, it is necessary to have a good knowledge of the characteristics of a jet in different stages of its operation.
