Business processes literature offers a wide range of theories, methods and techniques appropriate for business process modeling and analysis. However, there is no comprehensive and substantial approach available that enables incremental business process modeling and analysis from multiple set of perspectives, thus combining wide spectrum of business process characteristics in a common multidimensional model, and allowing the translation of business process modeled in a particular perspective to other perspectives. The paper presents basic terms and general stages for iterative construction of a multidimensional business process model. The construction method is based on extension, elaboration and transformation of initial business process model with respect to multiple modeling dimensions.
