Novel glass-ceramic matrix composites have been developed using a combination of Latvian industrial wastes and clay as the matrix. Chammotte made from clay as reinforcing additions and waste glass cullet as a sintering aid in order to improve the rheological properties and sintering behaviour of the starting glass-ceramic composition have been investigated. Reinforced matrix composite with cullet glass addition were fabricated by lower sintering temperatures and resulted by higher ultimate strength and longer sintering interval than unreinforced glass-ceramics
