In the paper is given a chance to get to know the projecting program ArchiCad that gives chance for civil engineer professionals and also for amateurs to construct „virtual houses” with virtual elements like walls, floors, roofs, donors, Windows and furniture. You can form everything in 2D or 3D representations. To know better the development of ArchiCad, the history of the program has been showed. There are also shown results of a survey about most popular projecting programs used in different companies all over the world (Europe, Latvia, other countries). The conclusion and comparison of the programs is showed in Table1.
