Aromatic polyester waste makes considerable part of synthetic plastic waste stream. Consequently approaches for managing of different forms of this kind of waste should be introduced. Recycling of metallized poly(ethylene terephtalate) (mPET) film waste by melt processing is demonstrated here. The effect of the elastomer modifier on the calorimetric, dynamic and mechanical properties of mPET is demonstrated.
