The article deals with the most relevant factors that affect the development of civilization. Efficient development of economics is feasible only under free competition. New technologies allow to transfer to a higher level of development and competitiveness. Education has a crucial role in the national economics. Owing to globalization, information in the sphere of economics has become a strategic recourse. The authors outline three factors determining the success of an economics: time, capital, and information. The development of technology is dependent on the legislative environment in the particular state. A state ignoring this may lose local developers of technologies, who will be brain-drained by the countries offering more favourable conditions for development and innovation. At the same time, application of innovative technologies in education will stimulate resolution of a broad range of problems. The transfer from an industrial to an informational society calls for drastic updating of the educational process. Up-to-date technologies will allow to intensify the educational process. A modern technological base allows to transfer knowledge into a virtual recourse, which will be accessible to any student at any time, from any location and which may be used in any context formed by the student himself. Failure to understand the current trends may result in a loss of the market in the sphere of education.
