The paper presents an euristical algorithm for automatically determining the coordinates of the nodes of the electric network when visualized on a display. On the so found coordinates the branches of the network are built. The algorithm is constructed in such a way that the obtained scheme has a minimal number of cross-sections and in accordance with the user’s demand it can congruently keep the “geographical orientation” of the scheme. When additional indications for levels of voltages are provided, the scheme can be colored in accordance with these levels. The relatively huge schemes, with the purpose of better readability, should in advance be broken down into subsystems following a corresponding algorithm. Besides for visualization of the schemes the algorithm can be used in those cases when the data obtained as solutions should be put automatically on the scheme without drawing it in advance manually with the assistance of the corresponding editors.
