Usage of Information Tehnologies for Learning Subject of Computer Science

The paper shows the usage of information technologies (IT) in teaching computer science subjects at Riga Technical University (RTU). The methods of implementing developed courses are outlined – both teaching and knowledge control (meaning as self-control as tutor defined tests). E-courses are included in various subjects of computer science considering student background knowledge and skills level as well as other characteristics. The paper describes the affect of e-courses to a resulting mark for subject, as well as students’ attitude to the possibility to use these courses. The positive tendencies of e-courses involving into educational process are defined.
