Heat- and Erosion-Resistant Coatings for Compressor Blades of Powerful Gas Turbine Engines
Abstracts of the 9th International Seminar on Quantitative Microscopy (QM) and 5th Seminar on Nanoscale Calibration Standards and Methods 2010

The main cause of compressor blade disruption under the given temperatures is corrosion and erosion which appear due to the interaction of dusted air flow with blade surfaces. It requires new technological solutions for the development of coatings that provide safe operation of aircrafts. One of the solutions to this problem is the creation of multi-layer functional coatings possessing both thermal stability and erosion resistance properties, and able to withstand the action of high-temperature air stream for a long time.
