The paper describes a software development problem, related to licensing and its violation. Are described some applicable licensing mechanisms. Since it is a phenomenon where software is used illegally, avoiding the licensing restrictions, the article goes into the machines, the software developers use for protection against unauthorized modification of the executable file. At the end protection mechanisms are compared according to specified criteria.
