Select suppliers and partners capability delivery pattern modelled using Capability Driven Development (CDD) methodology. For more info on CDD see http://caas-project.eu/getting-started/. The sourcing process involves collaborations with suppliers and partners. The most appropriate suppliers and partners should be selected to ensure sourcing success. Select capable suppliers and partners in order to help ensure consistency in meeting requirements and service level. Failures of incapable suppliers and partners could lead to the failute of the engagement (eSCM-SP_v2.01_Part2, pp. 104). Suppliers and partners represent a broad set of relationships, for example, subcontractors, vendors and joint ventures. Selection can occur at various stages of the sourcing process. The pattern is motivated by the CaaS project's BPO use case and generalized according to guidance by Hyder, E.B., Heston, K.M., Paulk, M.C. (2006) eSourcing Capability Model for Service Provider: Practice Details, ITSqc, Carnegie Mellon.
