Information Update capability delivery pattern
Martin Henkel

Information Update capability delivery pattern modelled using Capability Driven Development (CDD) methodology. For more info on CDD see http://caas-project.eu/getting-started/. Market communication in the utilities industry involves the pairwise interaction of multiple market roles that are mutually exchanging data. The exchanged data usually comprise of individual messages that have been bundled and transferred as a bulk data. Subsequently each message in the data may refer to an individual meter reading and thus are linked with other messages in the system, such as the customer master data or grid usage bills. The update of a data object related to another data object produced by a billing process entails the execution of inter-organizational activities. For example, handling the cancellation of an invoice requires the utilization of resources on both sides, i.e. the client has to cancel the invoice and send the confirmation to the BSP, so that the BSP can continue with altering the state of the object and reimporting it. Subsequently a new invoice is generated based on the updated status of the data object. The processes are currently executed manually.
