This work explains the categories of ePortfolio systems, dividing them into individual and institutional tools such as authoring tools, statistic web services, interactive web services, software - server required, hosted services, and assessment systems. The author lays a special emphasis on ePortfolios as the parts and parcels of information systems. Further research and development of the smart information system, which might be be able to assist learner to achieve additional competencies, should be developed in next research modules.
