The work is dedicated to the experimental study of using acoustic emission method of micromechanics of unidirectional composite materials under static loading. An attempt is made to identify subtle effects of the failure process of the composite material which is impossible using the traditional methods of strain measurement. The prospects of applying the method of acoustic emission (AE) for the development and improvement of existing methods of model analysis is shown. The characteristic stages of damage accumulation of unidirectional composites and the effect of training on these processes are shown experimentally. For the first time it is revealed that the change in total AE during static loading along the fibres of unidirectional composites is S-shaped, implying three-stage process of micromechanics of damage accumulation up to destruction. It is shown that the amount of training for small values of the preload (up to 20% of the breaking load) has virtually no effect on the character of the S-shaped change in the total
