Spatial Planning Information for Business Development on Local Governments’ and Regions’ Web Pages

The author has reflected the role of the available and accessible spatial planning information, which is developed on the basis of spatial data infrastructure and using geographical information systems, for promotion of business development. The practical experience from the Czech Republic on displaying spatial planning information has been described. The questionnaire and interviews were analyzed and suggestions for further development of database of industrial territories and geoportal for strategicand spatial planning as well as for business development in Zemgale were done.
