Scale-up of Wet Precipitation Calcium Phosphate Synthesis
BALTMATTRIB 2013: 22nd International Baltic Conference of Engineering Materials & Tribology: Book of Abstracts 2013

Hydroxyapatite (HAp), tricalcium phosphate (TCP) and their composites – biphasic calcium phosphates (BCP) are calcium phosphate (CaP) ceramics, which are one of the most used implant materials in the reconstructive surgery to repair damaged hard tissues. CaP has excellent biomaterial properties due to bioactivity of HAp and bioresorbability of TCP. In the last twenty years the main interest is devoted to the CaP synthesis technological parameters effect on product composition. The progressive demand for calcium phosphate bioceramics requires scale–up of laboratory synthesis.
