Comparision of Nano Sized Bi2WO6 Photocatalyst Prepared by Different Methods
10th International Conference of Young Scientists on Energy Issues (CYSENI 2013): Conference Proceedings 2013
Māris Kodols, Sabīne Didrihsone, Jānis Grabis

The influence of different preparation methods: combustion synthesis, hydrothermal and microwave assisted synthesis and their conditions on formation and morphology of Bi2WO6 nanoparticles has been studied. The pure crystalline Bi2WO6 with specific surface area of 26,6 m2/g and platelike and spherical morphology was obtained by using hydrothermal and microwave synthesis. The photocatalytic activity of the prepared Bi2WO6 in degradation of methylene blue depended on the specific surface area of samples and particle morphology.
