Buck-Boost DC-DC Converter for Wind and Hydrogen Based Autonomous Energy Supply System
13th Biennial Baltic Electronics Conference (BEC 2012): Proceedings 2012
Pāvels Suskis, Ivars Raņķis

This paper is related to DC-DC converter topology that combines properties of step-up and step-down converter required for wind power system complemented by hydrogen electrolyze cell and fuel cell for output power stabilization. There are two prospective generators for wind power converting to electrical power that will be supplemented by diode bridge: permanent magnet synchronous generator and doubly fed asynchronous generator. Proposed system is suitable for both of them. Paper contains analytical issues on scheme principle of work of converter and key values for circuit elements choice. Calculations are compared with results of simulations.
