Ionospheric Activity Influence on Real-Time Measurements
Baltic Applied Astroinformatics and Space Data Processing: 2nd international Scientific Conference of Ventspils International Radio Astronomy Centre: Conference Proceedings 2013

Ionosphere activity over theritory of Latvia was modeled with Bernese GPS software v.5.0. Results approved this diurnal effect as the solar radiation raises and reaches maximum near the noon. The ionosphere activity was modeled for 01/08/2012. The average number of connections for these days were 150. Results demonstrate that average time to fixed solution increases as ionosphere activity increase. Ionosphere activity has an influance to real-time measurements because of satellite signal delay to GNSS antennas. At low ionosphere activity average time to fixed solution is 15-20 seconds. At maximum of ionosphere activity time to fixed solution can vary from 30 up to 45 seconds.
