By the addition of inorganic particles, the hydrogel properties can often be enhanced and fur-ther adapted to a variety of application. Mechanical properties, degradation behaviour, and cell-material interaction are among the most dominantly affected characteristics resulting from the addition of inorganic material to hydrogel networks.
