There are several methods to reduce nonrenewable resources use and increase renewable energy sources. As the main targets are to minimize greenhouse gas emissions till 2020 and 2030, industry and other sectors need to figure out the most suitable solutions for emission reduction. Demand response (DR) application for industry sector can reduce electricity consumption. The aim of this research is to find the positive effect of DR using for food industry and compare demand response potential in Latvia and Kazakhstan.
