Ultra Wideband has a long list of qualities, which make it an emerging transmission technology for the wireless sensor network. In our previous work, it was used in simulation labs under Pilot Signal Assisted MAC algorithm with prominent results. After the successful implementation under simulation platform, it was decided to test its effectiveness on real (hardware based) test bed so its actual performance could be based line. In this paper, we have evaluated framework’s performance on the real test bed under a project “SMART Incubator”. For the better performance judgment, the results were compared with the simulation results. The outcomes of practical implementation prove that impulse radio based PA-MAC framework is an effective and adaptable solution for wireless sensor network.
