Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy is an important tool to evaluate reaction kinetics and products in calcium phosphate synthesis and cementation. In this study, we evaluated samples with vibrational spectroscopy: transmission FTIR, attenuated total reflection (ATR) and diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform (DRIFT). Each technique characterized vibrations of PO43-, CO32- and OH- to detect absorbance bands.
