Synchronous inductor generator with electrically integrated armature and radial excitation windings for AC and DC power production is investigated. At present AC power produced by inductor generator is rectified to DC and inverter converts power for AC load. Power conversion from AC to DC and then back to AC is characterized by reduced system efficiency due to power lose in two conversion processes. Voltage parameters have to fulfill established criteria for AC load supply. One of such criteria is voltage harmonic content. In this paper, induced voltage harmonic content is studied to explore possibility of directly supplying AC load. The machine is simulated using the finite element analysis (FEA) and results are compared to tested values.
