Pyridinium amphiphiles of the 1,4-DHP or pyridine scaffold possess self-assembling properties, form liposomes and can be used for DNA delivery and may find applications for drug delivery. During the last years diagnostics and therapy can be combined within multifunctional nanomaterials giving 'theranostics nanoparticles'. On the other hand design of delivery materials possessing biological activity is anideal strategy for variuos therapies. The aim of work is development of new molecules capable to form nanosystems which include:1)synthesis of new cationic amphiphilic 1,4-DHP; 2)evaluation of their biological activities.
