The optical properties of spatially ordered nanocomposites consisting of spherical dielectric nanoparticles have been studied. An analytical solution is presented that allows the use of Airy formulas (the “imaginary boundary” method) to describe the interaction of light with an ordered nanocomposite without averaging optical constants over the volume. The results obtained are shown to be in good agreement with exact numerical calculations.
