The working environment is undergoing major changes around the world, with the development of digitalization processes also increasing opportunities for working remotely through ICT. Digital technologies contribute to the development of this locationindependent work. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the whole world was forced to work remotely. But as the pandemic wore on, many employers still allow remote employment for employees. Remote work is not a recent phenomenon - already half century ago, staff did telework from home. The Labour Protection Law States that remote work is such way of work performance the work could be Performed by an employee within the scope of the undertaking of an employee is Permanently or regularly Performed outside the undertaking, including the work Performed by using information and communication technologies. The work shall be due to its nature is related to regular movement shall not be regarded to be Remote work within the meaning of this Law. However, the rapid development of ICT solutions suggests that this term needs to be seen more broadly.
