Organizational learning, knowledge generation, capture, sharing and application are important activities in today’s rapidly changing and hyper-competitive business ecosystem. The demand of continuing education in SME’s is raised by accelerated tempo of the modern lifestyle and rapid technological changes. Continuing education, effective use of information and communication technologies (ICT) and knowledge Management (KM) are effective instruments for small and medium enterprises (SME) to become and remain competitive. This paper provides a conceptual model for continuous education development in SME’s by using knowledge management methods and creating an IT supported ecosytem. The paper demonstrates an enterprise modeling (EM) method that incorporates IT technologies to identify users’ needs and match them to appropriate learning curricula to suit their needs and interests. This conceptual model is context and technology adapatable and supports formal and informal learning scenariois. The ecosystems approach more precisely matches users’ demonstrated skills levels to learning options mere precisely than those available to them with IT technologies.
