For the analysis of power system operation modes it is necessary to know the electrical network circuit of their spatial site positioning. It is advisable to use a computer program - graphics editor, which allows the visualization of the process of plotting the electricity supply network circuit and speeds up the analytical process. This paper focuses on the creation of a graphics editor based on the graph theory and Lee's wave algorithm for construction of a matrix with topological distances between nodes. Minimum input information is needed – only a list of branches. We use this matrix to define and fix the central node and 4 peripheral nodes according to geographical directions following the mini-max criterion. The location of the other nodes is determined by iteration. Automatic plotting of network greatly facilitates the subsequent analysis of the system.
