The doctoral thesis devoted to the manufacture of porous ceramics for medical applications and the foaming impact of bioceramic material structure and properties studies. Operational structure is as follows: the introduction to the themes contained in the grounds and topicality of the research setting and review, formulated the aims and objectives, and set out guidelines for the promotion work - based on scientific novelty and demonstrated the practical value. The first chapter provides information from publicly available reference sources for calcium phosphate and bone composition, structure and properties. Chapter is devoted to pores characterization and the classification of the theoretical exposition. Porous ceramic materials, fillers and the method for obtaining technology were described. This chapter reflects the use of porous ceramics in medicine, including an analysis of biomaterials. The second chapter is the experimental part, which justified porous ceramic technology choices and describes the sample preparations, as reflected in the work of the materials, methods and equipment, the promotion work and experimental course of the analysis method. In the third chapter, the results obtained in chapters 1 and 2 are analyzed, and an assessment is given. Conclusions consist of the formulation of the obtained results, and included in the course of writing the lessons learned. In the References list, the sources used in the work are mentioned on the period from 1971 till 2011, based on which the avenues of research were defined. Dissertation theses are written in Latvian, consist of 118 pages. The theses contains 61 pictures, 14 tables, 110 references and attachment.
